Sandshark

Sandsharks are among the dominant predators of the sand seas, with up to 40 cm in length they are big enough to hunt more than just insects but also smaller squamates like the fringe dragon, golden moles and sand guppys. These fast sandswimmers ancestors were sand fishes (Scincus scinus) from Earth, skinks from the Arabian peninsula.
Beside the size the animal changed in a few other ways too, the tail is now flattened and better for gliding from the sand, the hindlimbs are a bit more robust to help with short sprints through the grains and the teeth (not visible) became larger to have a better grip on its prey. 
For unknown reasons they can be very aggressive even toward humans, of course they are no danger but their bites can hurt so better stay away from the bigger moving piles of sand, I'm not saying a Shai Hulud could appear, but I'm not saying it won't...
