Description
Cladocyclus, or how I call it: the dwarfed Xiphactinus. It's one of the smallest Ichthyodectiforms, a group which members can easily reach 5 m and more. With 1,2 m Cladocyclus is just a bite for it's bigger cousins (which are known to feed on close relatives) but it could be still a possible snack for Spinosaurus. I have seen photos of large crocodiles which drag their jaws through the water to catch small fishes. I could imagine that these fishes lived in small swarms where a big predator would just need to bite in the water.
By the way: I had recently a idea which purpose the hump/sail of Spinosaurus could have too upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… just think about it (or forget it better, I wasn't the first...)
