Silvanian flying Pseudo-athropods by Hyrotrioskjan Silvanian flying Pseudo-athropods by Hyrotrioskjan
The two best known members of the Monopennidea, Monopenna and Ancoracauda, in comparison.
In difference to flying animals of the earth these creatures evlove directly from aquatic pseudo-athropods which were similar to flying fishes. During the flight the big wings stand nearly still and only the smaller ones flapping very fast to come forward. To land they coil their tail around branches. But not all plants are good places to sleep, some climbers have evlove sticky air roots which become fatal traps for every small animal which tries to land on it.

edit: Yesterday the award exhibition opend and the prizes were given. Well, I got nothing but the vernissage was very nice, I met many nice people and got much compliments for my work.

Yes, there is a group of strange, mostly predatory, vertebrates which live aquatic and can be also found in the lighless deeps where no other bigger animals can survive.

No big fliers? How depressing. I guess I'll just have to wait a couple of hundred millions of years and one or two mass extinctions for some !:D
