Pyrungata by Hyrotrioskjan Pyrungata by Hyrotrioskjan
It can be a curse to have to much ideas... you have not enough time to bring everything down on paper.

Pyrungata is my newest project, an archipelago somewhere in the pacific ocean.

What animals and plants are inhabit here will not reveal at this point.

This is really amazing ! I seen the entire folder, the plants and animals are so awesome ! Are these islands real? Are they really somewhere in the pacific ocean or is this just all something you imagined ?

Your welcome ! Yeah, its imaginary, thats what I eventually found out as I read the rest of your gallery. Still, its amazing, the plants and animals you created for Pyrungata seem so real that I first thought that they might actually exist some where in the Pacific.

I've only just discovered this but I must say it's a wonderful project. All the species are fantastically detailed and original, but I read in some of the birds descriptions about flightless Azhdarchids being the main inhabitants of this archipelago. That would be interesting to see.

No problem :) :)
Evolved from quetzalcoatlus, or another species/ genus ( quetzalcoatlus seems to be the one that would most likely evolve flightlessness)

We don't know what ancestors in particular they had, but it must be one of the bigger species which were able to cross oceans (Quetzalcoatlus, Hatzegopteryx, Arambourgiania...?)

Yeah, would imagine so after millions of years of evolution, but would think it'd be the larger species, seeing as this is an archipelago. Would be nice to see these flightless ones sometime :)

You say the archipelago is somewhere in the Pacific, but which particular area is it closer to? Australasia? The Americas? Or is Pyrungata just out in the middle of nowhere like Easter Island?

What was Pyrungata based on?

It based on my knowledge about island ecology, vulacanic activity, evolution, the Galapagos islands, New Zealand, articles of Darren Naish and some sites of Wikipedia.

Maybe, but like on Galapagos, the high stands often for a special vegetation/habitat so that a topographic map should be enough.
For example, the lowest layer of the land is mostly grassland and semi desert.
