I want to show you the black sheep of the family (very fitting because some variants are really black). Nucesvenator is a middle sized animal of the sivalinan Fauna but in it's habitat, which lays over 500 meters, it's one of the biggest creatures. Prey for a predator of this size is rare at this altitude and this was maybe one reason which favored the evolution of this nightmare of all nuts.
The nuts of Mundodendralis, the worldtrees, are very thick and can only be cracked by 3 or four species on Silvanus. And of all these Nucesvenator is the one with the most efficent method. Instead to work on the shell for hours or to let them fall several times from great altitude, the animal just grap the nuts with it's powerfull legs and break it up within a few minutes.
