Malleiotholus by Hyrotrioskjan Malleiotholus by Hyrotrioskjan
Malleiotholus is a strange pachytholid with an hammer like skull, a long tail for defense and jaws which are perfect to skratch small plants from the ground. Different to other pachytholids These animals aren't living in herds but are mostly solitary, during the mating season they come together and the males begin to grow These Long feathers/fan like structures which they use to impress the females.

(Some will maybe recognize the inspiration for this: yes, it's the silvanian version of Nigersaurus)

Fascinating. What do these guys eat? Is there a grass analogue on your planet?

Not gras, but more lichen like organisms are very common =)

This is one of the coolest described animals yet from Silvanus. It looks amazing, especially the males.

Were I a female of this kind of animal, I would give this male an E for effort =p. The color is nice, although, I'd like to see how the females look.

And I think this is a pretty cool.

Oh, well great minds do think alike. I like the female's copper coloration, its not to bright but not to dull either.

Cool design! Do all of the creatures on this planet have the same fundamental anatomy, or are their variations say like the difference between a mammal and an arachnid?

There are more basic concepts ("real" vertedrates etc. look at the drawings on black paper, there are a few =)) but Silvanus is not so diverse like earth in this matter, because in difference to earth there are less habitats and less natural borders which would lead to isolation and adaption.

I see, clever consideration. I'm sure it makes it easier to develop the ecosystems if there is less diversity to account for as well! Designing extraterrestrial ecosystems is HARD. That doesn't stop the most prestigious of us from tackling it, though. Excellent work so far.

It's in this case indeed easier to develop the creatures, but it's very complicate to create the planet System. Silvanus circle around Minos II with an inclined Orbit while Minos II circle with an slightly elliptic Orbit around it's star. There are so many things I still must figure out.
