Knoetschkesuchus in its natural environment

Nothing moves after the storm from last night. The heavy winds and huge waves have torn the coastline of the island apart. tree trunks, rocks and dead animals lie around everywhere and the ground is covered in algae.
Near the edge of the forest a still immature Europasaurus has found her last rest. The head crushed and buried under debris.
Suddenly movement.
The dwarfed giant might have been not strong enough to survive the flood, but deep in the forest and under rocks and in burrows lots of wildlife has survived. Among them the local population of Knoetschkesuchus.
Now after the storm food can be found in an abundance on the beaches. Crustaceans and marine snails littler the sand and lots of insects gather around the larger carcasses. 

This is my second painting for the Knoetschkesuchus paper, all animals and plants shown here are known from the fossil site, you might find again a Eryma, but also ammonites like Lithacoceras, Ampullina snails, clams, and conifers (the presence of theropod teeth found it's way into this in form of a shadow).
