Gracilidens by Hyrotrioskjan Gracilidens by Hyrotrioskjan
The open sea is the habitat of the most seasnakes. But a few species are favorite the shallower waters.

if they are relatives to mosasaurus..could they have a shark-like tail?

Sea serpents are slimmer as moasasaurs and like many other slim aquatic animals (eals, moraines, sea snakes...) they have no tail-fin.

yes, but if one have it why the others couldn't have it?... we found a ornithopod with feathers, now we think that almost all ornithopd has feathers...

Yes they could have a fin, but just one find is no evidence. Even one or two Ornithopods are not a proof that every member of this huge group had feathers/fur.Especially the primitive members of the mosasaurs must had a more eel-like tail.

maybe... but don't you think that a fin could make them faster? i mean the sharks, the dolphins, the icthosaurs, were and are active predators... the eels aren't so active...they just wait and attack...well this is my opinion and they are your creatures.... thanks for your comments..

Is it cold-blooded or warm-blooded? What is the gender of the specimen/specimens depicted here?

They are warm-blooded, and this are female and male: the crest is no sign of sexual dimorphism.

Are the Graciliden's eyes actually bioluminescent, or is it the lighting?
