Gold manger

This plants grow only over 1100 m and are one of the strange endemic plant-families. They are the sister taxon of the Brugmansia and specially adapted for this highs. Because of the constantly wind, flying insects are rarely visitors of the mountains. The plant solve this pollination problem by attracting insects of the grounds (ants and bigs) with their flovers which grows directly from the trunk. this phenomen, called cauliflory is not known from members of the Brugmansia, which was a main reason to create this new family.
