Edmontosaurs, oh these silly giants

Description

While in popular media often portrayed as a "boring" dinosaur and just prey of large tyrannosaurs, Edmontosaurus and related species of crestless hadrosaurs are actually quite fascinating animals. Especially Edmontosaurus itself which is known from many good fossils of all ages, and even several mummies, is quite worth a closer look. While being very similar on a first look, both species of Edmontosaurus seems to be different in some interesting parts of their osteological and soft tissue anatomy. A recent fossil revealed for example a fleshy comb on one E. regalis specimen and the skin
of E. annectens might have looks like that of a Dalmatian, at least when we follow the hypothesis that different sized scales had different colors.

These two portraits were produced for another Earth Archives article, learn moreabout these animals here:

YOOOOO I don't know whether this was updated or not but I love the fact that you drew them with proper keratinous "beaks" that are very shovel-like rather than duck-billed, since a recent paper has shown that they had really big, even serrated beaks. This is awesome
