The savanna of africa is the home of this scary, small dragon. The Corytholurus is the only breed that termites as a food source has. They live in groups of 4 or 6 individuals with one dominant pair. During they feed one dragon is sitting on the, often very large, hills and watch for lions and other predators. To open the nests they use their big claws at the wings.

The eggs were laid through the drying time and hatch when the rainseason brings new life in the landscape. After a few days in the nest, that be located on the ground, the hatchlings begin to fly. After a year the venom-glands are produce the first poison. Corytholurus haven't long teeth to inject the it but is able to use it's long snout like a blowpipe.

The skin beside the skull of the males is bright red colored and can blow up like the skin of a frigatebird.
