I found a silverswimmer in my basement a couple minutes ago, im having deja vu, but what do they do for oxygen. do the use the meteors resources or do the have some sort of air tanks to go to?

They use both methodes.
And when they sleep they don't need many oxygen.

The resources of the meteors are not only oxygen.
The hydrogen of the rocks is use to produce fuel.
