Die ersten Sonnenstrahlen durchbrachen bereits die diesigen Wolken, welche wie unruhige Geister über den Urwald zogen, als sie den Aufstieg zum Gipfel des Roraima-Tepui begannen. Die goldenen Speere tauchten die Blätter der Bäume in strahlendes Licht und erzeugten in den Kronen der gigantischen Pflanzen kleine Regenbögen.
